Hog,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been to a few comps but never entered. I cook all the time but I was wondering if there were any teams or another single looking to jump into the comp deal but need an extra hand. I'd be more than happy to swab the decks to get a first hand birds eye view of what it takes to compete!

My first contest won't be until Yardley, in June, if you can hold out that long.

Welcome. I am taking the class this Friday with one of my sons. We are both excited about it. We figure it is a great way to learn what the judges are looking for at the comps. Plus I plan on buying my new grill that day. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Welcome Bill, I am a 2nd year newbie and not quite ready to be a mentor, but if you see our setup at any comp, stop in and say hey. I am writing a blog about starting a new team, there may be some info there that could help you if you want to check it out. (address is below) Good luck and the best advice I can give is, have fun!
