Hey Guys,
I ate at Grumpy's BBQ in Allentown the other night. The food was pretty good However the service was pretty slow. It was a Thursday night and not all that crowded either. I don't think I've ever eaten at a restaurant where I thought the food was better than mine but this was pretty good.
The ribs were spot on as far as doneness ( is doneness a word?) but I found them a little greasy. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good as well but they serve it with a mayo based slaw which I don't care for.
All and all the food was pretty good bu _________________ Bill Parlaman

There is also a place supposedly new called Crazy Jakes, on Freemansburg Avenue, in Wilson Boro, near Easton Pa.
I only got to drive by and didnt eat there yet, but, it passed the Smokin Joe rule #1 for a BBQ restaurant.
Rule #1 as I tell people if they are travelling about, how can they tell if a BBQ is any good. is, the smell of smoke! If you dont smell some smoke....chances are, its not real BBQ. Well, I smelled the sweet smell o' hickory alright, I drove by slow with the windows open. Yup...theres smoke! _________________ Smokin Joe

Guys,
I have eaten at both of those places and they are good. They both at least have a nice smoky flavor.
My wife thought they were both ok also, but she did not like the sauce from Crazy Jakes.
