OK.. I will now date myself... but I just saw 2 great shows at a place called Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe PA.
Robin Trower was there a few weeks back and last night I saw Johnny Winter who was excellent.
Hershey gets some good shows and I have tics for Chicago/Doobies, DMB, YES and Billy Joel.
Catching TOP/AWB on April 8th in Harrisburg....
2008 is shaping up to be a great year! _________________ Andy

Wow - I havent been to that many shows in one year since college! Sounds like a full year.
Our taists aren't the same so it took a bit to figure out some of your schedule. DMB = Dave Mathews Band, AWB = Average White Band, TOP I admit haveing to go the the AWB web site and then to the venues site. I didn't think Tower of Power was still aroud.

DMB is always a good show at Hershey from what I am told. I've seen them 4 or 5 times in MA, RI, CT, and MD. _________________ 3 Eyz BBQ

Robin Trower!!!!
awesome! My kids gave me tix to see him in March.
In Fact, Matt Oree whom I mentioned in another post, opened for him as well.
My favorite contest on the summer circuit, is always Wildwood, since they have the Blues Festival associated with it. Last year, a Kansas City band - Trampled Under Foot - played there, and they went on to win the IBC - International Blues Challenge, in Memphis Tennissee this year. They are really good. Made up of a trio of siblings, two brothers and a sister who plays bass and sings Etta James, as good as Etta James!
Well, this year I will miss Wildwood, since that Saturday Night Im going out with my son....to see RUSH. They have an incredibly accurate show.
Maybe I'll stop down to Wildwood to catch some blues later in the day Sunday, but wont be there early enough to judge, so I didnt even apply. _________________ Smokin Joe

Robin Trower...now that's a blast from the past. I saw him at the Towson Center in 1982 I think it was.
And Rush.....I've seen them 5 times, the last in 1984. My favorite was the Hemispheres Tour.....great show. Opened with 2112 then went into the Cygnus series. Ended with La Villa Strangiatta.
Best show I've ever seen was Dream Theater, Queensryche and Fates Warning at Pier Six in Baltimore a few years back. Absolutely fantastic musicians!!! It was also my son's first concert. I'm sure that's part of what made it so special.
First show......Black Sabbath, KISS, Black Oak Arkansas back in 1974. _________________ Keith
