What's everyone going to cook this weekend?
My son's baseball association is having me cook 80 pounds of pulled pork for Opening Day, 4/19. I am going to spark up the Meadow Creek CD-108 Friday night after work. Then I am going to tow it to the field and serve the pork and cook hamburgers and hot dogs from the chicken cooker/ grill on the back of it.
My son's coach got me this gig. He bought a couple of pounds of pulled pork from me a few weeks ago. Then next day he called and said that I had to do some for Opening Day and to supply the concession stands for the whole season, April through June. I told him no problem. Since this is a volunteer organization, I am doing it for cost. _________________ Chuck Dorak

Wow Great Job!!!!!
I actually do the same. And have alot of people mad at me this year. I am going to Salisbury. So I will not be at Opening Day this year. Last year I paid for Salisbury and then asked for a refund (Didn't get it) So not knowing when opening day was I entered it again.
Well anyhoo............Last year we took in 3200.00 on opening day. Of witch I think we actually made 1700.00 or so. But that includes the Gatoraids and waters ETC. I only did 5 last year and made the league stack Sat. with games all day so we could make money. I am on the board so it was easy for me.
We only have about 320 Kids in our league so it was nice to make a little extra dough for the league. We had a waterline break this winter and spent more than we had expected. So I will be doing a couple more this year.
Good Luck on the event. Hope you sell out.
How old is the Boy?

My Son is 9. This is his first year of real pitching. Last year when he was in the I-8 league, his team went 16-0. We all had a great time. Wilson Borough PA has about 150 in our league. _________________ Chuck Dorak

My cousin played baseball in Easton for year through high school at Easton high. He played at Northampton CC for awhile too.. I think he still plays men's league and coaches little kids. _________________ 3 Eyz BBQ
