Well Fella's this weekend we had our first baseball tournement.
We did well, Finished third overall, Missed out on the championship game on one pitch. But that's how the ball bounces. We decided that every weekend we will do a saturday family dinner, as a team. So here are the before pics.
We had to ruff it this weekend, Was pretty cold out so a teammate brought out something a little nicer than a sleeping bag.
We played both games saturday and won both, We headed up to the home and had the pig, 2 beer can chickens, 40 burgers, 3 fatties, and a couple of packs of what else.....Hot dogs.
We won the first 2 on Sunday, And lost in the top of the 6th gave up 3 runs with a 2 run lead. Oh well. We are off again next weekend to another one. Will have to see if I can outdo this one. And My little one had an awsome time. Hit his first homerun in a game. Has hit a ton of them in practice the last couple of years but never in a game. So all and all was a great weekend.Can't wait untill Summer.
Sorry to be the doating dad, But was a great weekend, And a great time.

Awesome!! Congrats on the 3rd place to your son and the team.. Pig looks good to.. Did you take those pictures with an SLR??? Nice quality. I'll have by geeked out camera at Salisbury, so will have to track you down to take some pics.. Hopefully, I won't have to go too far.

Hey that pig looks great, nice.
Have to tell you, my youngest also had a tourney this weekend, and we froze Saturday in Forest Hill. We had to go back today, for one game. We lost both yesterday, and won this morning.

Thanks for the compliments, How old is your son and what is the name of the team? We are in Perryville next weekend. Place called Lakeshore Baseball. I have never been there but should be fun. What the heck it's baseball. And yes it was freezing, We all have wind burn now!
We are also going to do Ripken 2 times and back to sports at the beach 2 more times.

Dan,
Sounds like a great weekend. Congrats to your son and team. Pig looks great too. Brings back memories of all the years with my son in sports. Up to junior year in college when he hurt his neck in football and ended his career? Are you going to do pig at every tourney?

He plays U12 Division for Perryville, they just got together, so there are growing pains with any team.
Lake Shore is down in Pasadena. They have some good facilities there, and they are close to the Bass Pro Shop over in Arundel Mills Mall.

Na, But we do have another tournement this weekend in Pasadena MD. So I have to come up with something.
Last weekend I told everyone I would donate the pig, All they needed to do was bring a side or dessert. They still passed a hat a gave me $130 bucks back for the Pig. Was a very nice gesture. Not sure how to out do this last weekend. Mabey some Brisket and Ribs?

What do you mean? In baseball tradition he has a mouthfull of sunflower seeds!!!! Geez, .................J/K
Never really got into the whole apple thing! Guess It looks pretty though, Mabey for a catering.
