Jennifer said there are a few teams that may arrive Thursday night, but everyone should plan on arriving no later than mid afternoon on Friday, to allow yourselves time to set up properly.

For those bringing meats from home:
Jim Glatfelter (Pequea Pullers team) and maybe another person on site, will be available to inspect meats, making sure that they are raw, unseasoned, not injected yet, and that meats are properly kept under 40*F.
No one will be allowed to start cooking until their meats have been inspected.

For those purchasing meats from Galvinell’s:
You may start preparing meats as soon as you receive them.

Please indicate to Jim if you have brought meat from home, or are purchasing meats from Galvinell’s.

Cleaning station:
Galvinell Meat’s has a full cleaning facility available for all teams for your utensils and basins, so there won’t be a stringent 3 basin cleaning station requirement as you would normally have in KCBS events. You may still want rinse basin(s) at your site.

Cooks meeting on Friday night.
All teams must be represented at the meeting.
I will be giving the cooks meeting at 7 or 7:30 pm on Friday night, whenever I get there. Experienced cooks know the basic routine, but I will ask that they attend anyway as there are a few variances from a standard KCBS contest (also, there is no CD to listen to).
If you know you are going to be late, or are running late, please call my cell and we will convene separately when you arrive.

On Saturday:

Judges should arrive on Saturday morning, in time for the 10:30 a.m. judges meeting. I will email final info to the judges I've solicited.

Turn in times were in the info packet Jennifer should have given all of the contestants.

Turn in times:
Chicken 12:00
Ribs 12:30
Pork 1:00
Brisket 1:30

Awards should be presented sometime between 4 or 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Jennifer also indicated that some teams are planning on staying over on Saturday night, so they don't have to drive home tired, and under the “BBQ” influence.

Attention MABA members, homeless and whomever else. The MABA T-shirt sales table will be set up for this function. It would be VERY nice to have several volunteers to man the table so that no one person(s) gets chained to to it the whole time.
Give a holler If you can help out with this noble project.
Thanks, Rag
