I just got in a shipment of Blues Hog products last night. I got a jar of the Raspberry Chipotle sauce. One word description, PHENOMENAL!!!!! The best finishing sauce I have ever used. I am going to have to use some it on one of my catering jobs.
We grilled up some pork chops last night and finished with the sauce. My son, who usually does not eat pork chops, had two pieces. He loved them. Unfortunately I did not take pics. I will next time though. _________________ Chuck Dorak

I agree its very, or should I say "bery" good sauce. On pork I tried it and really liked the result. _________________ Chris

Has anyone ever used something like this in a contest for, say, ribs or pork? Just curious. Since my ribs and pork tanked last time out, I'm considering something similar...... _________________ Keith

A lot of comp teams use Blues Hog products. A lot of them are also GC's. I have had the privilege of cooking with Bill at a comp in 2002. Nicest guy you will ever meet. _________________ Chuck Dorak

I know that Blues Hog is quite popular as a finishing sauce. What I meant was has anyone used soemthing out of the ordinary, like the raspberry flavor sauce, for their finishing sauce at a competition? I used an apple bbq sauce on my pork once and finished 4th. The next time it was 44th. Go figure. _________________ Keith

I'll have to give it a try. We made a raspberry chipotle sauce last year from scratch. After cutting the chipotle in half, it was still way too hot for either of us. We then cut it further with about the same amount of my wife's raspberry jam - it was just about right. Actually it was really good on brie. _________________ Dave
