I wish I could give you a review. I only have heard good things about them. I bought a TS 120 at the judging class. Tom is holding it for me in Ben Salem. As soon as I get a cement pad down I can bring it home and start using it. It should be interesting as I have never towed anything before. I have been waiting for months to start using this. _________________ Big George's BBQ

It will tow fine. I towed a Lang 60 and MC250 on interstates. You forget they are back there.
I'd be interested in your cook chamber temp readings on moveable probes compared to the installed thermo.
I get strange readings. _________________ Gasser

I cook on a Meadow Creek CD-108. I like it alot. One problem that I am having with it is ash build up. the solution that I came up with is charcoal baskets and small fire bricks underneath them. _________________ Chuck Dorak

Chuck-
Using hardwood lump can help minimize ash buildup as well. Not sure what your using currently. _________________ Dan Hixon

I was using briquettes. I have now found a source for lump. It is a little more expensive but I will definitely go with it this year. _________________ Chuck Dorak

I use 2 pr42 pig roasters and they work very well, I load them with about 35# of briquetts and light one end, close the vents and they will burn for aboout 14-16 hours at 225-250 with out any issue. I have added the 2nd tier racks for even more capacity. I also use a bbq26s chicken cooker and just love the ease of use for chicken. The units are well built and should last "forever"! _________________ death isnt a punishement , it is a release. |

I've be toying with the idea of getting a roaster and trying to smoke on it. Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of how to do it. Where are you going next, would like to see your setup? _________________ Chris

I cook on a meadow creek cd-108G, which is a pr-60 pig roaster on the front, and a bbq 42 on the back. The pig roaster is the gas unit, but also has the charcoal insert, Its an extremely versatile unit, done everything from pork butts, briskets, whole hog, ribs. With 40lbs of charcoal I get up to 14hrs at 225-250. The second tier rack I think is a must,, gives ya much more capacity. And the bbq 42 works great for chicken , or you can raise the charcoal pan up, and do direct grilling on it.
The gas feature is great for vending for reheating stuff, I even do baked beans, roasted potatos, baked potatoes,, etc, using the gas feature. Can't say enough good about it. _________________ Josh Shade
