Did everyone get the E Mail concerning the Whole Hog event at New Holland. Only 9 teams have signed up for the event. If they do not get 9 more they will cancell that event. There are still openings available for teams to compete at New Holland- only 63 are signed up. _________________ Big George's BBQ

I got it too and told them I'd do a hog... anything to help that contest out. _________________ --Tom

I didn't get an email yet. I'm surprised that there are that many openings. I've heard that the numbers are down this year for comps. Must be the economy and gas prices. _________________ Ron

I got an email from them regarding the whole hog, never done one before. We're thinking about it, but still have to convince the home CFO. _________________ Chris

I read the email on another site and I think the 63 teams refers to the number of teams that didn't sign up for whole hog. _________________ Ron

Just got a PR72 last week. I'll do whole hog with you if I'm around that week. That's usually our Outer Banks week, that's why I've never entered New Holland. May not be going this year though. _________________ Jon

I have never done one. I know my boys would like too. It would be interested to try. I would be interested in going 50/50 with you Sal, but don't the rules say two teams can not cook together. That would have to be checked out. How much are the Hogs and rentals? _________________ Big George's BBQ

It's gas, but I also bought the charcoal pan for it. Holds 80 lbs, should be enough to cook a pig. Have never cooked a whole pig before, but there's lots of time to practice before New Holland! _________________ Jon

Hey Jon, with a pr72 you can do a pig hog on that, I put a 170 lb dressed weight on my pr60, Tight fit but worked. I thought about doing whole hog at new holland, but I don't want to take the extra stuff done with me. But if anyone needs any help, I'll be there to lend a hand. _________________ Josh Shade
