We got our new baby today. The Meadow Creek TS120. My dad picked it up from Tom Christine today. When he woke me up I was like a kid at Christmas time, I looked out my window and it was right there. We had a little problem backing it up, by that I mean we couldn't do it. Our driveway is at a wierd angle. But we are seasoning it now, and tomorrow is our first cook, 8 racks of ribs and a brisket. Man I can't wait, I am almost jumping out of my skin. _________________ Josh Ehrhorn

Congrads and good luck. Sweet rig.
Get a lot of pics of that shiny inside
Use a remote temp sensor. My dial gauge on the 250 read WAY LOW (40 to 50*). If I used that to cook by everything would be cooked at 300*
The thermometer is accurate, it just doesn't read the chamber temp correctly for some reaon. Just a heads up warning. You may get better results.
Enjoy. _________________ Gasser

You are my hero. We are trying to season this thing, and the temp will not go above 250. We are going to add one another thermometer. Hopefully this works, I am supposed to cook for people at work tomorrow, but we are having a hard time getting this seasoned. _________________ Josh Ehrhorn

I was cooking ribs at 275 to 290* yesterday with the dial reading just up to 225 to 240*.
A Maverick or Guru will help out a bunch. Even a turkey frying thermo with the long stem replacing the factory short stem job in the hole will help. _________________ Gasser

We threw one of our digital ones, it jumped up to 285. We are almost there. I get done at midnight tonight and up at 7am to start the smoker so I can cook my ribs to take into the guys at work tomorrow. _________________ Josh Ehrhorn

I will have to say it was not easy seasoning it with the chamber thrmometer. Finally was able to do it with one of my Mavericks. Cant wait to try to cook something in it. I have six racks of baby backs seasoned and waiting to go on. Next week I want to try to do Mutha's Pastrami recipe. I have a Brisket waiting to be trimed and brined in the fridge. We do need to learn to back the grill up. We did not do a good job with that. In fact I had it turned to tight and the chicken cooker handel bumped into the truck. I have been waiting to get this since Dover- should be fun. _________________ Big George's BBQ

Nice!
I like the one they displayed at the MABA convention in 2007. That one had the three station sink and hot water heater, the turkey fryer, the fancy wheels and the aluminum skirting over the wheels. It just had Smokin Joe written all over it. I want one of THOSE! And, I want the "M" on the warming box door to be a "SJ", lol.
Uhh, but then I need something to tow it with.

Yeah that was nice. That was the TS500 wasn't it? That was huge, I will have one of those eventually. Especially if the catering takes off. I am assuming this will be the slow year, and pick up as the years go on. _________________ Josh Ehrhorn
