Any suggestions on where to get some quality charcoal? I have been mixing Kingsford and Oak for fuel, but lately its been a bit bitter. I did one session just with Kingsford, and still bitter, even with a new bag opened.

Thinking about scrapping it all and starting over. Thoughts?

Chris

I was at a BBQ store in Reading today. They carried Hummpys, Green Egg and a third one I forget. All were $18-$19 /20#.

It's a nice store with sauces, books (the right ones), GreenEggs, and tools.

I went up there yesterday and got a couple of bags of Wicked.

Its a nice morning, going to throw on some shorts and do some smokin' today. Lets see, how 'bout 6 racks of ribs and 30 or so thighs, sound about right?

I'm a big fan of the Humphrey's lump. Find the right dealer and it's pretty cheap, and it's just good ole' American hardwoods. A lot better than what Royal Oak is trying to pass off nowadays.
