Mutha- shhh

For Purdue - Fried pygostyle with dipping sauce.

Anything butt - tomato soup po' boys

Now don't tell anyone! We've been practicing for months. I think we have a good shot.

I believe presentation was open, i.e. no KCBS garnish rules... We'll see if it's the same this year.

**Thanks Jason but does that mean we don't have to use a box? or could this change as time gets closer?***

As for my understanding of it, No you do not need a box to turn in, Could use a platter or what ever you feel is creative.

If you don't use a box, does that mean I do a shredded chicken, green chile stew? this is my first time doing this, so please be patient.

The anything butt is anything goes. serving platters, bowls, etc. Someone handed in 6 bowls last year of a soup or chili or something.

As far as the chicken goes, I remembed folks turning in large portions that didn't fit in the box. I believe they give you boxes (for numbering), but you don't have to put it in their. Just need to physically bring the box so they can get your number. They'll go through the rules at the cooks meeting, and in information packets. I assume they will stay with the same format.

Great. Now I can practice presentation. I think the Pygostyles will go in little zip lock baggies and since tomato soup po boys tend to be on the messy side - bigger zip lock baggies.
