| Okay so recently it seems that someone is swamping the blogs and forums nation wide with a small smoker product. I know spam is horrible but there is a small problem that i have with it! I like the idea of product but no where on any of the forums does it give you a website, or actual product information! Does anyone know anything about it? Where can I get it, or at least learn more about it? |

I hate to disagree with you Hershey but those SUCK. No way to control the air intake which makes it impossable to control your temps. Spend the extra money and get a WSM. Thats my .02 worth. _________________ "Life, its what you do between meals."

Bill.
Thanks for the input... I have only use this Smoker / Grill a few time and have used a Taylor meat thermometer when I did. I needed to add some charcoal and hickory through the "trap door" a few time.
I'm sure I will be moving up to a better model in the future.. but as I did not win the Meadow Creek unit over at New Holland I will keep saving my penny's... _________________ Andy

I've had 3 or 4 ECB smoker's and while it is dificult to control the temp you can make some decent BBQ especially for shorter cooks. Plus it makes a fairly OK grill. Which is why a bought my first one all those years ago. I had never smoked anything (to eat) but figuered what the heck. We ate a bunch of butts and picnics off those things (Cooked for slicing)
When you figure you can get 7 ECBs for the price of 1 WSM it's the right choice for a lot of folks (Until they cook on a WSM )

Tom..
As a newbie to "smokin'" I had to Google EBC (El Cheapo Brinkmann)
I did find a great page that speaks about modifying the EBC to make it more functional...

Maybe Santa will bring me a REAL smoker if I am a good boy.... (fat chance...) _________________ Andy
