Hi All
I know this is primarily a vehicle to buy or sell BBQ related equipment and the like, but I figured the BBQ community is full of good souls who always try to help out one way or another.
I was wondering if anyone (or family members of) is interested in either various Beet Steins, or Hummels figurines.
Reason is, I am liquidating them for a young woman from my church. I was introduced to her last fall while organizing our church's annual Oktoberfest dinner, in which I try to sell a few Steins. This young woman was married to a man who collected steins, mainly Budweiser, but some nicer German steins as well. We sold some at the OKtoberfest, and then at the Swedish Festival we had 2 months later, but I still have many on hand. Sales on ebay is spotty at best, and can result in losing money for her. Her husband died while she was pregnant with twins, so I am liquidating some of steins for her in hopes of raising money for her. She also has a set of Hummels, from his first wife, estimated at some 30 years old, which bear no sentimental value to her.
She has twin boys of some 10 months old. Since she has such young babies, cant work, and is living with her parents until she gets on her feet.
If anyone is interested and would like to see some photos of the steins, send me a private message, and I will send you to your traditional email some photos of Steins or Hummels.
All proceeds go directly to her, and shipping for any articles is charged at actual price, or as close as I can estimate it.

You got me all worked up there at first.
I thought at last, someone who had a source for the ever elusive beet steins.

Joe lemme get back to you the Steins my FIL collects I will tell him about them and Tom and I may be interested for gifts for him. The Hummels thou a little tougher....Just a suggestion what abuot a consighmnet shop? there of course would be a portion of the sale but...just sitting on them isnt proably doing well either. I did do a little reasearch if there 30yrs it may be to her benefit to let someone else handle the sale they are $$ lil boogers. A sad sitituation neverthe less...your a good man for helping.
