I've seen every episode. He has some great BBC shows as well. I'd like to see him vs Anthony Bourdain, now THAT would be funny! _________________ Dan Hixon

I love the show, but would never work for him. You have to wonder if the patrons get dinner? for free. Why else would you wait for possibly nothing. _________________ Ron

Ramsey actually has some cooking chops. Have you ever seen Bourdain cook on tv? I enjoy his writing, but I think he may be the most overrated chef on the planet. Whoever made this guy an authority on food? He's made a living talking down upon people who are worlds more successful and innovative in the world of food than he is. Emeril might not be the most well spoken man on the planet, and he might not be Thomas Keller, but he has done more for the world of food than Anthony Bourdain ever will or could dream of doing. Felt good to get that out..... |

Not really interested who has done more for the world of food. That is very subjective in my opinion. I just thought Ramsey vs Bourdain would be extremely entertaining. They both have big egos and a big mouth. And I'll take the american guy vs the british guy any day of the week _________________ Dan Hixon

Sorry Dan,
Anthony Bourdain is French, born and raised. Seriously.
I do think Bourdain vs. Ramsey would be a good matchup. _________________ TS250

| Anthony Bourdain was born in New York and he grew up in Jersey. And while they both have giant egos, I think Ramsey has more of a right to one. |

OK, point taken. Still a good match up in my book. Just for a wager I'd put my money on Bourdain, but have to admit Ramsey would probably take him. Of course, it would be the judges fault though
Hog feathers....... don't know where you get your info from? Geez _________________ Dan Hixon

| sorry..lol.. Bourdain has long been a pet peeve of mine. When I see him judging on Top Chef ,I associate him more with Ted Allen than I do Tom Colicchio when he is sitting up there. One thing about Ramsey though, I am curious to see what his food is really like. I find that the food on Hell's Kitchen is really boring and almost an afterthought to watching him get worked up. |

I may not be a geneologist, or intimately know the bourdain family tree, but in my defense, I did recall an episode of one of his travel shows a few years ago where he went back to "the place he grew up" in France, meeting up with one of his brothers ( who still resided in France), reliving thier childhood foods in his home town. They even went down to the beach resorts they used to go to (in France).
Unless this is a different Bourdain we are discussing. _________________ TS250

My Faux Pas,
Bourdain was indeed born in NYC and grew up in Jersey.
I guess my memory is starting to fail. I don't know if it's just that I’m getting older, or if it’s too much BBQ on the brain. _________________ TS250
